Veterinary Requirements

Our veterinary requirements are as follows:

We will require a Mortality Certificate less than 30 days old if your horse is:

• Insured for more than £5,000 (and Loss of Use cover is not required)

We will require a 5-stage / Pre-purchase veterinary certificate (less than 30 days old) if your horse is:

• Insured for more than £2,500 and Permanent Loss of Use cover is required 

We will require X-rays of the front feet and fetlocks and hocks (a full list of views required will be provided) if your horse is:

• Insured for more than £10,000 and Permanent Loss of Use cover is required

We will require a letter from your vet confirming that they have seen the horse for:

• Foals aged between 14 and 30 days old

Please forward copies of any additional veterinary certificates you hold relating to the proposed horse.
